Because the Divoce Act is a federal law, we focus on MPs and aim to educate MPs of all party affiliation, across Canada about the benefits of Equal Shared Co-Parenting and the benefits of the Rebuttable Presumption of ESP for Canadian families.

Equal Shared Co-Parenting is a bold move towards the recognition of the importance of both parents in child raising. Lawmakers need to know the support not only of ordinary citizens, but also of experts and community leaders.

Judges, social scientists, religious leaders, social workers, pediatricians, political parties, child protection and domestic violence groups, associations of parents, teachers have a key stake in the best interests of children. We need these stakeholders to champion and publicly support Equal Shared Co-Parenting.

Equal Shared Co-Parenting (ESP) is in the Best Interest of all Children after divorce and separation. It is fully endorsed by social science research as the preferred child arrangement post dissolution barring issues of abuse, neglect, or violence.

We aim to promote ESP by educating lawmakers, divorce professionals and the general public to build support for a rebuttable presumption of equal shared parenting.
